Welcome to my collection of Whimsical Wizards and Witches, where I share with you my love of magic and mages! I've loved fantasy stories and magic users for decades, in books and movies, and later in my role playing games.
In the table top roleplaying game dungeons and dragons, as well as media derived from it, wizards are differentiated from sorcerers or warlocks by the methods of which they obtain their magic and prepare their spells. Wizards obtain magic by study: pouring over books and scrolls, deciphering ancient runes, seeking out the knowledge of all those who came before him, and writing it down in his grimoire. Each day, a wizard prepares his spells by consulting his grimoire, but he can only cast a certain number a day, based on how skilled and experienced he is.
On this website, you'll find a bit of information on all my favorite wizards, as well was neat wizard images and memes I have found across the internet.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to"-Gandalf
Yippee the autism creature took to wizardry very fast. Flowing robes are very comfy, arcane glyphs and runes are fun to decipher, and he can ponder the orb for hours every day.
He can draw spell circles with the utmost intricacy and accuracy, and loves copying scrolls into his spellbook. He needs eight hours of recharging his mana, and another hour of concentrating on his spellbook to be effective in battle.
Yipee models himself after the classic WIZARDS like Merlin, Gandalf and Elminster.
(He used to look up to Dumbledore as well, but has since become disillusioned with his involvment with certain individuals who shall not be named.) Those are clearly the best and coolest wizards with long beards and pointy hats, but wizards come in so many shapes, sizes, colors, and genders!
Variety is the spice of life and a true wizard respects the art of transfomation and seeks to understand that which he does not. However, wizards are easily tempted by esoteric or infernal secrets and they are prone to obsession. One must take heed not to stare too deep into the abyss as they ponder the orb.

This page celebrates sorcerers, worships wizards, honors enchanters, respects witches and reveres warlocks
