welcome

There was a big fantasy media boom in the 70's that lead into the 80's. Around this time, the realm of computing was improving by leaps and bounds Specifically home computing. This technology was new, difficult to use, and seemed like magic, and those programmers who could master the tasks appeared to be wizards.

This, the installation Wizard was born. Reltated to the math wizard, the installation wizard was a genius at computing and could totally fix your computer if you summoned him. I have collected a gallery of computer themed wizards for your enjoyment, spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s. cover of IF magazine in 19671984by Don Dyen 1984Gary Overacre 1986Mike Kanarek 1983by Clyde Caldwell
