Why I love it:

• This is the ship that introduced me to the concept of shipping. I was looking up Team Rocket on the 90s internet.
• They are utterly inseperable, they hug each other whenever they need comfort, they sleep together
• the inherent eroticism of being wacky henchmen

The Fellowship of the Rings

This is the first media I watched where it dawned on me that boys can like boys, way back in 2001. Life has never been the same since.

Sam and Frodo:

• they share more soulful gazes and tender touching than most honeymooners
• They are both the person the other cares for most in the world
• the inherent eroticism of witnessing the horrors together

Legolas and Gimli:

• I like their rivals to friends (to lovers?) dynamic
• They stay by each other's side after the events of the book
• they always want to impress the other

why I love it:

• They are complimentary opposites, with Sasha being cold and stoic and Milla being a flirty party girl
• They are partners and protect each other with their lives
• they have a close, personal psychic link that is always on even when they're apart

Persona 5

So there's a lot of Persona 5 ships, so I'm going to share all my favorite ones.

Ryuji and Joker:

• Ryuji is ride or die for the player character on jump
• Ryuji says Joker inspires him to be a better person
• the inherent eroticism of guys bein' dudes

Anne and Ryuji

• They are childhood friends who have been through a lot together
• They have good coverage being on a team together: a caster and melee fighter
• the inherent eroticism of struggling airheads

• it's very fun to watch them pretend to be normal together despite the fact that they aren't normal at all

• okay so they're like so cute
• their dynamic is the best I've ever seen between the main boy and main girl of a shounen action anime
• that scene after they get Okarun's dong back, but not his balls yet, when they go to school, and they are both sitting in class, unable to think of anything else but how much they want to spend time with the other

Aziraphel and Crowley

Good Omens

what I love about it:

• They are both sort of oddballs in their respective spheres, and they meet in the middle
• I love their visual language
• the inherent eroticism of lying to your boss to stop the apocalypse

Heavy and Medic

Team Fortress 2

why I love them:

• as a medic main, Heavies never run too fast and are super reliable, they are fun to heal and rarely let me down
• they are complemantary in their personalities. Medic is spontaneous and wacky and Heavy is stoic and calculating
• few people can handle Medic the way heavy can

Yusuke and Kuwabara

Why I love it:

• Kuwabara needs some love! People sleep on him because he's not a bishounen, but he's a nice, loyal, hard-working, sensitive young man with a romantic heart!
• Kuwabara and Urameshi walked so that Okuyasu and Josuke could run
• Look at him! He's giving his life force to save Yusuke! He dreamt about kissing him back to life! He cried and screamed and had to be pulled out of his wake when Yusuke died in episode one!

Iida Tenya and Ochako

My Hero Academia

why I love it:

• Okay so Deku is pretty focused on Bakugou, and when he's not, he still fumbles through conversatiions with Uraraka, and lacks the closeness that Iida has with her
• Iida never misses a chance to ham it up and make Uraraka laugh
• Iida is impressed and moved by Ochako's filial piety and work ethic. She comes from struggling working class parents and that puts pressure on her to succeed for their financial future. And he comes from a wealthy prestigious line of pro heroes which puts pressure on him to succeed to live up to his family name

Sypha, Trevor, and Alucard

Castlevania

Why I love it:

• These two are the only ones that make Trevor smile
• Alucard missed them so much he made little dolls of Sypha and Trevor
• Have you seen them fight together? It's poetry, it's magic

Gojo and Marin

Why I love it:

• Marin is perfect, and Gojo tries so hard to make her happy
• Marin's overwhelming need to confess her feelings for this guy that she knows has feeling for her, but she can't for some reason, and that's super relatable. I remember being in her shoes
• Gojo is a hair's breadth from getting bludgeoned across the face

Kaguya and Shirogane

Why I love it:

• I love their fucked up game of cat and mouse
• They match each other's freak
• they are crazy about each other. like, cutting out letters from magazines to write love notes, and having conspiracy boards to plan a date
